Dr. Robert Handley, our top vein doctor, has an undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and a Masters degree from the University of Houston Clear Lake. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and subsequently did a General Surgery Internship at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. He then completed a Diagnostic Radiology Residency and a Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX.
He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Phlebology and is board certified by the American Board of Radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He is recognized by the Society of Interventional Radiology to have a special competency in Interventional Stroke Therapy. He has extensive experience in image guided minimally invasive procedures and has a special interest in venous procedures and venous insufficiency treatment. Furthermore, he is a member of the American College of Phlebology, American College of Radiology, and the Society of Interventional Radiology. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Handley has pilot licenses for both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters and enjoys scuba diving.
