About Us

Robert Handley, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Robert Handley is a highly accomplished medical professional earning his undergraduate and master’s degrees from Texas A&M University and the University of Houston Clear Lake. Shortly after, he completed his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. This was followed by a general surgery internship at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL, and a diagnostic radiology residency and vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Flower Mound, TX.

He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Phlebology and is board certified by the American Board of Radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He is recognized by the Society of Interventional Radiology to have a special competency in Interventional Stroke Therapy. He has extensive experience in image guided minimally invasive procedures and has a special interest in venous procedures and venous insufficiency treatment.

Furthermore, he is a member of several prestigious medical organizations, including the Society of Interventional Radiology, American College of Radiology, American College of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, Texas Medical Association, and Denton County Medical Society. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Handley has pilot licenses for both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters and enjoys scuba diving.
